Every Other Day
The main characters humor was pretty good! I just didnt connect with the story as much as I would have liked.
Breathless. I never read this kind of book before and I know some of my friends already mentioned and read books with this kind of concept which I don't like to mention to avoid comparing both books. This is my first time to encounter a sweat jerking book. I really felt excited while reading but before that there were parts that are annoyingly out of this world. Beginning. Everything was in chaos, I don't have any idea what I read or what really happened to Kali. Is she dead or trying to

This book and I had a love/hate relationship. On one hand, I kind of hated it. The writing was HORRIBLY sophomoric, the interactions were juvenile, and the action scenes weren't really believable. The writing didn't sell the story. I think this had the potential to be an awesome book if the execution had been better. The beginning was rough for me. I was really struggling for a while. The attempt at humor was so ridiculous it had me rolling my eyes and sighing. Lines such as:But first, I had to
Going into this book I thought it was going to be a paranormal, and I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be science fiction. I've never read anything like Every Other Day before. Jennifer Lynn Barnes put an interesting spin onto a creature that's been a little overdone recently in YA fiction, and the originality in Every Other Day was a nice treat. The world was an alternate version of our world. Instead of Darwin discovering only evolution on his journey, he discovered preternatural
Sixteen-year-old Kali DAngelo is a normal, teenage, high school girl. At least she is every other day. On those in between days, she is something entirely different - someone who doesnt run away from things that go bump in the night. She is someone who runs toward the things that go bump in the night and if theyre smartthey run away from her.Every Other Day completely took me by surprise. This is exactly the kind of story I was in the mood for. No mousy female leads, no love triangles, and no

Narration In Favor Of Books Every Other Day
Every other day, Kali D’Angelo is a normal sixteen-year-old girl. She goes to public high school. She argues with her father. She’s human. And then every day in between . . . she’s something else entirely. Though she still looks like herself, every twenty-four hours predatory instincts take over and Kali becomes a feared demon-hunter with the undeniable urge to hunt, trap, and kill zombies, hellhounds, and other supernatural creatures. Kali has no idea why she is the way she is, but she gives in to instinct anyway. Even though the government considers it environmental terrorism. When Kali notices a mark on the lower back of a popular girl at school, she knows instantly that the girl is marked for death by one of these creatures. Kali has twenty-four hours to save her, and unfortunately she’ll have to do it as a human. With the help of a few new friends, Kali takes a risk that her human body might not survive . . . and learns the secrets of her mysterious condition in the process.Particularize Books Supposing Every Other Day

I took far, far too long to read this book. It was one of the first things I was approved for on Netgalley, and I downloaded it back in September along with four other books, excited to finally have my hands on these fabulous e-galleys. Unfortunately, I overestimated my ability to read for long stretches on the tiny screen of my iPod, and so while I'd gotten over halfway through this book when it expired, that wasn't enough. The end result was that yesterday, when I decided I felt like finishingThe main characters humor was pretty good! I just didnt connect with the story as much as I would have liked.
